‘Sentimental Value’ is de nieuwe film van Joachim Trier (‘The Worst Person in the World’), opnieuw met Renate Reinsve in de hoofdrol. De film volgt actrice Nora (Reinsve) en haar zus Agnes, die onlangs hun moeder verloren. Als hun vervreemde vader, de succesvolle filmmaker Gustav, weer contact opneemt met een filmscript, biedt hij Nora de hoofdrol aan. Dit is een eerste stap in de poging om de band tussen vader en dochters opnieuw op te bouwen.

‘Sentimental Value’ est le nouveau film de Joachim Trier (‘The Worst Person in the World’), avec cette fois encore Renate Reinsve dans le rôle principal. Le film suit Nora, actrice (Reinsve) et sa sœur Agnes, qui viennent de perdre leur mère. Lorsque leur père Gustav, cinéaste à succès, reprend contact avec elles par le biais d’un nouveau scénario, il propose le rôle principal à Nora. C’est une première tentative pour reconstruire le lien entre père et filles.
