1979, een groep jonge pornofilmmakers is op zoek naar een volgende spannende locatie voor hun nieuwe film. Deze lijken ze te hebben gevonden in een afgelegen ranch in Texas. De hosts, een ouder boerenechtpaar, tonen grote interesse in hun jonge bezoekers. Maar zodra de avond valt, slaat hun nieuwsgierigheid al snel om in iets veel gruwelijkers, en moet de wanhopige crew vechten voor hun leven.

Horror-regisseur Ti West (‘The House of the Devil’, ‘The Sacrament’) brengt een groovy ode aan allerhande genres van de jaren zeventig, waaronder slasher-horror en vintage porno. De cast bestaat onder andere uit Mia Goth (‘Nymphomaniac’, ‘Suspiria’), Martin Henderson (’The Ring’), Jenna Ortega (‘Scream’) en Scott Mescudi (‘Don’t Look Up’), ook wel bekend als rapper/zanger Kid Cudi.
