Seoul, zomer 1994. Eun-hee is een schoolmeisje. Ze zoekt als puberende tiener haar plaats tussen ouders die ruzie maken, een oudere zus die vaak stiekem wegsluipt en een pestende broer. Ze heeft een vriendje maar is niet erg populair op school. De komst van een nieuwe lerares op het privé-instituut waar ze lessen Chinees volgt, zal de manier veranderen waarop Eun-hee de wereld om haar heen ziet.
