In de derde en laatste langspeelfilm van ‘Downton Abbey’ breken de jaren ‘30 aan. Mary bevindt zich in het middelpunt van een publiek schandaal; de familie ondervindt financiële problemen - alle leden van het huishouden worstelen met de dreigende sociale schande die hen boven het hoofd hangt.
