Een incident op een middelbare school brengt Wei, de enige zoon van een welgestelde Chinese familie, en zijn klasgenoot Shuo dichter tot elkaar. Ze worden steeds hechter en ook Wei’s ouders verwelkomen de nieuwe vriend van hun zoon graag bij hun thuis. Terwijl Shuo steeds verder in de familie wordt opgenomen, ontdekt hij dat er achter hun comfortabele leven een hoop geheimen en onderdrukte emoties schuilgaan. Door een tragische gebeurtenis komen oude wonden en angsten alsnog aan het licht.

Un incident au lycée rapproche Wei, fils unique d’une riche famille chinoise, et son camarade de classe Shuo. Ils deviennent de plus en plus proches et les parents de Wei accueillent avec enthousiasme le nouvel ami de leur fils. Au fur et à mesure que Shuo s’intègre à la famille, il découvre que derrière leur vie confortable se cachent beaucoup de secrets et d’émotions refoulées. Un événement tragique fait resurgir de vieilles blessures et de vieilles peurs.
